Founder and Lead Provider
Dr. Jessica Jean Francois, DNP, MBA, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Founder and Lead Psychiatric Provider | Board-Certified PMHNP and FNP | OCD Specialist
Dr. Jessica Jean Francois is the founder and lead provider of My OCD Clinic, a group telepsychiatry practice she built from the ground up with a singular purpose: to ensure that adults living with OCD have access to expert, evidence-based psychiatric care without the barriers of geography, long wait times, or the stigma that prevents so many from seeking help. She is a dedicated, passionate clinician whose drive to make mental health care accessible and compassionate is woven through every aspect of the practice she created.
Education and Clinical Training
Dr. Francois holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) earned from the University of North Florida (UNF) in 2020, and a Master of Science from the University of Miami, where she completed her foundational clinical training. She also holds advanced training from Wilkes University, and combines her three degree programs into a rare breadth of psychiatric and primary care expertise. Her Master of Business Administration (MBA) brings strategic and operational leadership to complement her clinical depth, allowing her to build and scale a practice that genuinely functions at the highest standard of care.
A Career Rooted in Diverse Clinical Experience
Before founding My OCD Clinic, Dr. Francois built more than nine years of hands-on experience spanning urgent care, women’s health, genetics, and mental health as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. That multidisciplinary foundation gives her an unusually comprehensive clinical lens: she understands how psychiatric conditions intersect with physical health, how cultural context shapes the experience of illness, and how to meet each patient exactly where they are. She approaches care cautiously, holistically, and with meticulous attention to detail — always integrating the newest research and studies into her treatment approach.
OCD: Her Clinical Passion
Dr. Francois specializes in the treatment of OCD and related conditions, using evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) coordination, medication management, and motivational interviewing. She works closely with IOCDF-trained ERP therapists to ensure patients receive the full spectrum of proven OCD care. She founded My OCD Clinic because she witnessed firsthand how patients with OCD suffered for years — sometimes decades — before receiving an accurate diagnosis, often being misidentified as having general anxiety or depression. She built this practice to close that gap.
Educator and Mentor
Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Francois has served as a Clinical Adjunct Instructor at Keiser University and Purdue University, sharing her passion for psychiatric care with the next generation of nurse practitioners. This commitment to education reflects her belief that improving mental health outcomes requires not just treating patients today, but elevating the standard of training for the providers of tomorrow.
Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Francois believes in a holistic, client-centered approach that values every individual’s unique journey, background, and identity. Her practice style is warm, solution-oriented, and deeply culturally sensitive. She practices with the conviction that mental health deserves the same attention, urgency, and quality of care as any physical health condition — and that telehealth is the most powerful tool available for making that level of care genuinely accessible to everyone who needs it.
